TRM offers physical and web-based classes to suit the needs of a variety of audiences. We offer the option for classes either at your location or in our offices in Alexandria, VA. We also work with professional Maximo training suppliers to provide training for unique situations. 

Types of training

Improve maintenance and reliability skills with flexible training to meet your team’s needs, including self-study, hands-on, and on-site programs. These programs provide practical knowledge, expert coaching, and real-world application to help you reduce costs and boost operational performance.

On your own

Self-study offers flexible, on-demand learning with videos, articles, and practical exercises to be performed in the system. This approach lets participants build knowledge at their own pace.

Classroom

Hands-on training immerses participants in practical exercises and real-world scenarios with systems. This method builds critical skills through interactive learning and expert guidance.

Hands-on at site

On-site training delivers tailored, immersive coaching directly at participants’ facilities. Expert consultants work alongside teams to apply best practices in real time, fostering teamwork, improving performance, and embedding key skills within the organization.


Training Classes

TRM offers tailored Maximo and HxGN training options, including private and web-based classes, at your site or remotely. Courses cover system fundamentals, system administration, CU processes, reporting, and specific capability (RulesManager) or functional area. Flexible 10-hour blocks and comprehensive programs are designed for various skill levels, enhancing efficiency and expertise.

Web Classes

Choose the topics and activities to be used in one to two-hour blocks. A TRM subject matter expert will coordinate with the client on the use of the block of time during the year. 

Compatible Unit Training

This Maximo 7.6 Compatible Unit Training seminar educates users on CU functionality, estimating tools, and administration. Over three days, participants learn basic navigation, estimate creation, and advanced features like labor adders, component bundling, and purchase contracts to optimize asset management processes. 

MAS Training

The Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Fundamentals course introduces asset, work, inventory, and purchasing management for subject matter experts and end users. It covers MAS navigation, asset hierarchy, planning, preventive maintenance, work order tracking, inventory, contracts, and best practices for effective software use. 

Maximo System Administration

This Maximo System Administration course trains administrators on system setup, user and security management, workflow configuration, database settings, and server management. It covers practical tasks essential for effective Maximo environment administration and optimization in three comprehensive days. 

BIRT for IT and Asset Management

The BIRT for IT Asset Management course is a hands-on, scenario-based training for Maximo report writers and administrators. It covers report creation, installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting and includes a practical workshop to develop organizational reports over four days. 

RulesManager Studio Basics

RulesManager Studio Basics is a five-day, hands-on training for new Maximo configurators and system administrators. The course covers installation, rule writing, scripting, workflow, debugging, best practices, and troubleshooting, culminating in a practical workshop to integrate learned skills effectively. 

RulesManager Studio Advanced

The RulesManager Advanced training by TRM is a customizable, hands-on, on-site course for advanced Maximo configurators and system administrators. It covers deep dives into UI interaction, debugging, JavaScript libraries, Java method calls, integration, and advanced case exercises. 

HxGN Foundation Classroom Training

Classroom training focuses on developing and reviewing workflows, data codes, roles and responsibilities, and software functionality, as well as how to execute in EAM the processes outlined in the client Asset Value Model. Go-live simulation events are conducted that include both software and business process elements. 

HxGN Foundation In-the-Field Training

In-the-field training reinforces learning through hands-on experience with live data during and after EAM go-live. This practical approach integrates new software tasks and business processes directly into daily operations. TRM also provides customized role books with SOPs and application-specific details to support long-term adoption. 

HxGN Advanced Customized Training

Take a deeper dive into day-to-day maintenance operations data by creating customized Cognos reports and developing performance metrics with advanced SQL queries. Popular reports include:
